Wire Wall Art is perfect for wet locations where mold might otherwise grow behind canvas or frames . The wire is powder coated with pigment that is wet-weather resistant and UV shielded to keep the color from fading in the sun.

A Wire wall sculpture is the final step in a simplification process that starts with a photograph or group of photographs. I make and remake the line drawing to emphasize only the essence of the subject before I start the wire wall sculpture.

I ask, "What is it about this image that's unique." Then I strip away the lines that are not required to convey that "uniqueness." Finally, like the poet who reviews every word, I re-examine every turn and curve as I bend the image into a wire wall sculpture -- a large line drawing in space. The final installation, a solid line in front of a moving shadow, has scale enough to suit a large space without dominating the room.

I make line drawings out of wire designed to be hung on a wall. Wire wall murals I’ve created have been purchased by hotels, restaurants, convention centers and other public centers through out the United States. My wire wall sculptures are made of 5/32-inch diameter steel wire that is powder coated black.  Sizes range from 4 to 100 feet wide.

I use wire to make wire wall sculptures from drawings I've made. I bend the wire by hand and weld it. My wire wall sculptures are coated with a high-gloss, all-weather finish. The wire wall sculptures can be hung temporarily on hooks or mounted permanently on special anchors.

Many corporations prefer my large wire wall sculptures over other art mediums because they look like big drawings painted directly on the wall. They have scale enough to suit a large space without dominating it. The sculptures clean easily, look permanent, and only require a few nail holes.

After I make a wire wall sculpture I hang it up and "live with it" for a while. Sometimes I cut away additional material, add more, or change bends before I consider the sculpture ready for a gallery, museum or other public space. I say: Nothing is permanent, as long as you have pliers.

My wall sculptures are sold through art galleries and the internet. Many are commissions I make from photos or ideas customers provide. For more information, send me an email.
